TransCultured Magazine Focuses on Search & Reunion

The winter issue focuses on the process of searching which is both an emotional and physical process, beginning with many trying questions about who we are, where we came from, and where we are going. The first essays reflect the personal ruminations that adoptees engage in, not only to begin a search, but in coming to terms with who we are and our identities. The articles in this issue reflect the actual physical process of searching and emotional roller coaster ride of the hunt.

The spring issue will explore the other side of search: reunions and life after the reunions. Often for adoptees and adoptive families engaged in a search, little thought is made of the impact a reunion will have on the rest of their lives. Suddenly these figments of one's imaginations are real, living, breathing, feeling people and how to integrate them into one's life becomes a new challenge. Search may answer some question but open far more.

TransCultured Magazine is provided with Membership to Also-Known-As for one year. Apply before March and receive the current issue as well as a one year subscription.
